Compaq Presario 1270 Laptop LVDS connector needed

Hi. I just traded with a friend for a Compaq Presario 1270 Laptop. When I turn it on, the screen is all psychedelic looking. I can tell where the letters are supposed to appear, but instead there are these multi colored lines where there should be graphics (I can't make out the graphics, I just know that's where they should be). Anyways, he told me that one day he decided to take the laptop apart to clean the dust out. Reading the instructions, the disconnected the LCD screen from the motherboard. Then he removed the LVDS connector from the ribbon cable so he could fit it though a slot to remove the screen. Anyways, he turned the next page in the book and it told him that they recommend the user replace the LVDS connector if it's been removed. He didn't have another one so just reused the old one. And now it doesn't display properly. we've tried to find the part from compaq but we can't find a part #. Does anyone have any idea where we might be able to find it? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
