anyone give me hints on removing the laptop display off the persario 700? I need to put in a new one, and i have no idea how to remove the old one.

Do a google search on - disassembly "presario 700" - there are tech sites that have tech bulletins and manuals online. Dell has that stuff right on their own site so you don't have to look for it.
