Compaq P900

I've seen this monitor recommended, but does anyone actually own it? I've researched 19" monitors for a long time, and had decided on the Sony G400, but it's a little expensive for my taste. Using CDW, one of the vendors at work, I can get the Compaq for around $280, but I want to make sure it's as good a monitor as I'd like. I've only been able to come up with one small review, and it didn't really give much info. Anyone have this monitor, or have experience with it? Thanks!

I am using one now and love it. It has dual video switching and is a trinitron tube so it is nice and sharp. Cant beat the price.

Just wanted to add not all Trintron tube monitors are equal. I read a comparison between several Trinitron tube monitors and apparently the quality control has an effect on how good they turn out. The cheaper monitors didn't fare as well as the more expensive versions.

Cheaper doesn't always equal worse, in fact, it almost never equals worse when it comes to Trinitron or DiamondTron monitors. Smaller manufacturers like KDS, CTX, or ADI have less consistent quality control, but overall fare well against more expensive models. Well known manufacturers like Samsung, NEC, and Dell can make just as good a monitor with the tube as Sony or Mitsubishi themselves and price them at a much more competitive level. Compaq is not that bad a monitor maker, and the P900 model usually goes for a lot more than $285.
