Just wondering if anyone knows (or can make an educated guess) as to why a standard PC2100 DIMM won't work in a compaq machine?
The stick supplied with the machine and the stick I'm trying to install both claim to be PC2100, unbuffered, non-parity, and the only discernable difference is that the stick that works claims to have a CAS latency of 2ns whereas the other is 2.5ns.
