My father just found out that his cell phone and his notebook can "talk" between them through the infrared port, he is trying to use the cell phone as a wireless modem with no success, does he need any special software or something to be able to use the phone as a modem? please let me know if you have any ideas or if I should try to give any specific details so I can ask him. I tried running a search in google with no success.

if you want wireless Internet connection, you have to go bluetooth

i have bluetooth in my ericsson t39

Ericsson t68 also has bluetooth

 
So basically, the cell phone is no good? If he gets a bluetooth cell phone, do you know if it works with any dialup service? My family lives in South America.
