I recently acquired an old LTE Elite 4/50CX from a family member. I would like to change the OS from windows 95 to some ultra-lite linux distro.

Specs:
486 DX2/50 MHz Processor
28 MB of RAM (At some point it was upgraded.)
340 MB HD

The Manual:

Question 1;
What are my options for linux distros that will run well on this machine.

Question 2; I don't currently have anything outfitted with a floppy drive. Is there anyway to load files onto the laptop through some other method? I could scrounge around and find one but it would take awhile and I'd rather avoid it.

Thanks

Well you'll either need to connect the unit to a network and load a light version of Linux onto it or get a drive to load it in. Problem will be fiding campatible drivers.
