Compaq Fan 1500T is so loud. Can I change with with a better one?

Hi, anyone who uses this kind of laptop, how do you prevent the fan loudness?

Can we change the fan type so it's not too loud? Or maybe there's a setting to control it?


The fan near the pcmcia is so damn loud. I need to get around this.

I use Ik8fangui to control the fans on my dell.... dont know if that ll work for your machine though...
