When I go into the Bios setup, it shows at 1000 MHz, which's correct. But Windows XP sp2 says it's a 700mhz. Norton thinks it's 700, and so does CPUz. Where's my other 300mhz? Thanx!

What's the processor of the model? I think either SpeedStep (if using Intel) or PowerNow! (if using AMD) power saving feature is in use. Try downloading SpeedSwitchXP and select "Max Performance". Basically, the speed of the cpu depends on the current usage of the processor although I think you can force it to run at maximum always. I usually leave mine at "Max Battery" or "Dynamic".
