wow this sounds just like my laptop i bought in august for college. Same specs Compaq 2103US bought in officemax for $700. A RAM upgrade is really helpful. BTW This uses an intergrated ATi chipset instead of craptacular INTEL EXTREME MAD GAMER EDITION (/sarcasm ^^). I actually played FFXI on it and it ran pretty smooth. Like i said i would get it and upgrade the ram ASAP! ^^

Who makes a better Athlon laptop? Looked like e-machines was going to be a player but after they got bought out the product cycles seem short-lived and availability is an issue.

I have this on my desk and bought it for $720 after rebates at Fry's months ago.

I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

This is a good deal if you can get into it - I bumped up the memory, and replaced the hard drive in it with a 7200 rpm
