I payed this law firm 75 bucks to handle a traffic ticket with me, the entire thing has been so difficult. They actually mail me back after I was there in person, asking for another $75. So I decline and ask for a refund, which they offered in the mail. They went a week, without refunding the money. I call again, and i ask the lady im like "tell me whatever you need so i can get this refund, my card number, etc" she takes the number again. 2 days later, still nothing, lady says "oh ok sir im gonna do it right now". Call same day, still nothing, it takes 24 hrs she says, call next day, still nothing. (keep in mind im checking my account online to see if its done). A few days go by, finally I go into check it today, and there are 2 deposits of $75.

I think Im gonna call and tell them. Even though they were a hassle, I guess its sill the right thing to do. What yall think?

This being atot, you will get flooded with replies saying its wrong to keep it, and the brave ones that say keep it will get flamed.

I'd call and tell them simply for the fact that they may see their mistake in the future, and take it back without warning. While they'd be rightful to do so, you may have already spent the money, and be out $75.

Is it a big law firm? Do they make lots of money? Do you think you have less money than the law firm? If so, regardless of ethicality, I would say go for it.

Keep the money. They are lazy. They make you wait this long. Money ftw.

um its a freakin law firm, keep it and watch you get sued.

They:

A) Are not going to sue for $75.
B) Would not win if they did.

a) the furthest they would go is a legal letter making a lot of threats
b) would not win.

How would you feel if your credit card was accidentally charged twice at a store?

Would you like the store to notify you as soon as they found the mistake? Or wait and see if you notice it? And of course, once you did notice it you would demand your money back, right?

The key to life is treating others as you would like to be treated. If you do not, you have no right to complain about others doing the same.

There is a logical and selfish reason for morality and ethics.

Let me rephrase what I am sure ScottSwingleComputers meant to say--
This being atot, you will get flooded by people who are HONEST saying its wrong to keep it, and the dis-honest ones that say keep it will get flamed for being dis-honest!!!

It constantly amazes me how difficult this is to understand for some people. If something would upset you, why on earth would you think of doing to to someone else???
