Companies that use cases which allow for upgrading of components?

I'm looking to buy a new desktop, but I'd like one that I can upgrade myself if I want to.

As far as I'm aware, companies like Dell use cases that make it extremely difficult to replace components.

I'd like a case where I can upgrade the CPU, GPU etc. on my own in the future.

What companies are there that offer this?

Have it custom made. Lots of places on the Internet you can select the parts and just pay for assembly. One I can think of is www.directron.com/ which is a yahoo store. I have ordered parts from there. Assembled PC's just cost a little more. They will also do testing. They have some standard packages. They dont sell ASROCK motherboards. If you overclock and break it they may not be as forgiving as newegg.

Dell does not make it difficult at all, you just have to get a standard ATX tower model. Same with the others, though you can find B&M retail Lenovo and Gateway ATX boxes. You just need to research the documentation for that particular computer, before you buy, or be able to see pictures that can ID it as plain ATX.
