Companies rather spend on tech than hire new employees

Increasingly, it appears that Corporate America is reaping such big productivity gains out of technology that it may decide to hold off on hiring workers.

Fvck the executives and high position corporate dudes. Yeah, they'll make $5 million this year instead of $4 million, and 20 guys who would have been making $50k/year won't be able to feed their families.

As much as I believe in capitalism, people are far too greedy to do the best thing for society on their own.

Um, if a company can reap $10 in benefits by spending either $5 on technology or spending $7 on employees, why in the world would they spend money on employees?

yeah but their job isn't to think of society, that's the government's job. the execs get the big bucks to bring even bigger bucks in to the company. sadly, hiring more IT workers isn't a part of that.

Well if that Exec working for that company didn't exist then none of its workers would be able to feed their families.............

But I do agree some people get paid far too much though.......

Sounds like a load of crap to me. If anything it was more true in the late 90s than it is today.
