CompactFlash card reader...reader only?

May sound silly, but....

Looking to get either a PCMCIA or USB CompactFlash card device so I can manage data from the flashcards directly instead of the USB on the camera....

I see PCMCIA CardReaders from $6.50 to $30, and USB version from $22-60.
Some are called Readers, some are called reader/writers.

Are all these devices the same?

What I want to be able to do is plug the card into the "device", then connect the device to my laptop/computer via USB or PCMCIA (I have PCMCIA CARD-DRive on my pc).... AND, I want to be able to at the very least read/erase data from the card...preferably, read/write/erase/modify/rename like it was a HD.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks,

Souka!

I got the one from Sandisk, it cost like $25-$30bux. Its usb, its pretty cool. Plug the card in and it reads it instantly. Bought it from buy.com
