Compact Flash reader Speeds

I currently have a Kingston PC Card II(PCMCIA) CF reader. I can't find a speed of this device, but notice it takes a long time to copy pictures from the card to my harddrive.

I am thinking of getting a CF thumb drive reader (USB 2.0).

Do you think I will see an improvement in speeds.
