Does anyone know if a Compact Flash Type 1 card will work in a Type 2 slot?

I have a Casio BE-300(pseudo-pocket-pc) and it has a type 2 slot, but I can't find type 2 cards anywhere for a reasonable price.

Thanks!

I'm sorry, I should have clarified more. Not a pcmcia type 2 slot. A compact flash type 2 slot. They look about the same, but the type 2 cards are about 1 mil thicker and are supposed to allow for larger capacities.

I'm not guaranteeing that this is gospel, because I'm too tired to look it up, but a CF2 slot should accept a CF1 card no problem. I know my camera has a CF2 slot, and all I use are CF1 cards. The only CF2 cards that I'm aware of are the IBM microdrives. Anyone else know? Anyways, consider this a long bump :)

Confirmed. You CAN use CF Type I in CF Type II slots; however, not vice versa.
