Compact Flash Quality - Known brand or cheap module ?

Hello,

I am about to buy a Compact Flash Memory module for a Kodack digital camera.

Should I stay with the expensive know brand (SanDisk, Lexar) or any unknown cheap brand will do ?

Are the more expensive modules faster ? More reliable ? What's the risk going with a cheap one ?

Any good/bad experience ?

Thank you,

I'd stick to a relatively well-known brand. I'd also take a look in the Hot Deals forum. I picked up 2 Sandisk 16mb Smartmedia cards for a total of $35 using a Staples Pricematch.

You might want to also send an email to the Kodak tech support. Could be that you'll get someone who really knows his stuff and can point you in the right direction.
