Compact Flash Quality - Known brand or cheap module ?

Hello,

I am about to buy a Compact Flash Memory module for a Kodak digital camera.

Should I stay with the expensive know brand (SanDisk, Lexar) or any unknown cheap brand will do ?

Are the more expensive modules faster ? More reliable ? What's the risk going with a cheap one ?

Any good/bad experience ?

Thank you,

Remyx

sorry, remyx, i don't have an answer.

but i'm looking for one of my own along a similar vein, which may also help you:

What are the differences between compact flash cards and smartmedia cards (and ata flash cards)? mainly i'd like to know if one of the technologies is closer than the other(s) to going the way of the betamax. and maybe i should even throw in sony's memory-stick into the mix.

in other words, does anyone have opinions as to which technology (CF, SM, ATA, Sony) will be around longer?

thanks for the help!

- mike
