Ok, I know that most Compact Flash Cards need the IDE adapter to be able to use them like an IDE hard drive, but what types of Compact Flash Cards can be used with a converter adapter that lets it plug into IDE? Are there any Compact Flash Cards that are meant for IDE and don't need an adapter? And what about the speed of Compact Flash Cards? I have seen eveything from 12X, 24X, 48X, 60X, 9 MB/s, 12 MB/s, and 20 MB/s. Is it important to get the fastest Compact Flash card if I intend to use it to for a Linux NAT/firewall router that will have a 10 port swith connected to it with 8 PCs?

Help greatly appreciated.
