Check into the duties you may have to pay to have it shipped to Europe (depends on country) - may end up being cheaper to buy locally. Most countries won't let anything like that across the border without getting their share of taxes.
<< Also, CompUSA are they generally a good place to buy (buying in Ithica (spelling) NY)? >>
Even if you can get the laptop through customs without too big of a bite taken from you for duties, there's still the issue of warranty coverage. I'd bet my left arm and leg that Toshiba won't help with any problems if the computer was bought out of country, and with notebooks, warranties are an essential.
<< Thinking of buying a laptop from these guys, a Toshiba one. Buying it to be shipped to Europe, anyone know of any problems with doing this?

why shipped to europe? r u going to europe, or is it for someone else? if u buy a laptop here and ship it to europe, it would prolly have to wrong power adapters (that is... assuming the voltage is different... i am not sure). i think a better idea would to be write down those specs and price for the laptop... go to europe... call dell... and haggle them til u get a similar deal.
