Comp turns itself off randomly

As above, as if power was turned off. Wait 5 to 10 mins and comp will boot up fine.

I have 3 pci cards, 1hdd and 1 cdrom. Amd A2400 ?

Any ideas.

power supply. model/brand/amp output on +3.3/+5 and +12v rails?

also might just be overheatibg have you checked what sort of airflow yuo have?

If that makes sense.

All bits in the case are v cool.

50 dollars for the xclio 450 is the best value out there.

though everyone here at AT (including me) buys 75- 100 dollar fortrons and antecs.:D

you need way more amps

wow those are LOW amps for all rails. for example, i have a Hipro 240w and i get 14A on +12v and 25A on +5 27A on the +3.3A rails. you might be choked for power espicalyl running so many cards and drives. what is yyour gfx card?

For reference, the OCZ modstream 400 (I think) has ~26 amps on the 12 volt rail

TWO? No wonder your computer won't start. You need a much stronger powersupply. I just got a Forton Blue Strom, but if you don't want anything flashy, the xclio recommended above would do just fine.
