Okay im a newb at this and just putting together a computer, I was wondering how do you tell how cool/warm your comouter is running at assuming you dont have a LCD display. running windows Xp if that helps out any.
 
Also look for Everest (http://www.lavalys.com/)... While MBM does a decent job at reporting temps, it requires setup that you may not have the info for (it's also a one trick pony). Everest, on the other hand, is easy to setup/install and tells you tons about your system. Including the temp sensor readings.
 
Your ASUS motherboard should have come with the Asus PC-Probe software. Simply install it and run it whenever you want to know your comp. temps. Look for it in the Asus CD-ROM.
