Comp recognizes networked printer but won't print.

I am new to networking, so this is all pretty confusing to me. My computer, which is the one not directly hooked to the printer recognizes the printer hooked to the other computer, but it won't print. I have tried everything that normally fixes printer problems; restart the computer, restart the printer, unplug the printer, etc. None of it works. What am I doing wrong?
