Hello all

I just noticed in the last few weeks that my computer would sometimes reboot when i exit games. It never happen (ed) while in the games nor while not gaming so i have no real idea of what could cause this.

When i log back into windows , it says that the system recovered from a serious error with the following details:

C:\Docu\(comp name)\locals\temp\some random number folder\MINI010905-01.DMP

C:\Docu\(comp name)\locals\temp\some random number folder\SYSDATA.XML

Comp Specs :

Athlon64 3200 + (stock)
K8V SE Deluxe Bios 1.04
2 x 512 Mb RAM Corsair Value C3 at 2.5-3-3-8
PNY Geforce 6800 GT (stock)
Soundblaster Live 24-Bit 5.1
Antec True Power 380 W PSU
Maxtor 120 Gig IDE 8Mb cache
Pioneer DVD burner

I have heard about the infamous DEP causing crash with UT 2004 when exiting so could it be the same thing ?

What are the Mini.dmp and Sysdata.xml files related to ?

The problem is not that annoying because it dont happen each time that i exit a game (maybe 1 out of 15) but i still really would like to know what cause this.If its DEP , i will make sure to disable it.

Other than that , the system perform great and is very stable.

Thanks in advance for any clarification

UT2004 problems

Thanks for the link , i will read it

The thing is that i'm aware of the problem with UT 2004.

Mine is something else as it happen approximatively 1 out of 15 times and only upon exiting a game.

I did a google research on sysdata.xml after posting this here and it seem that it happens to a lot of different people with completely different system.

Some are also more unfortunate and the comp reboot as soon as they boot into windows.

From what i have read , it seems that i have one minor variation of the problem (only crach when i exit games and doesn't happen frequently)

Some solved it by replacing their RAM while some other did bu deleting the sysdata.xml and mini.dmp file via some tweaks . (my RAM is good , my temps are great so i already discarded these options)

There seem to only have 1 another thread on the subject on this board , which is quite surprising.

There seem to be no definite solution for now so i will continue my search and try some suggestion

I did a detailed explanation of how to disable DEP in this thread.

I would just try disabling DEP to see if it ceases crashing anyway.
