comp freezes during CALL OF DUTY 2 installation

happens at random disks, have gone through this 3 times already, froze once on disk 3, once on disk 6 when almost done, once on disk 4. why is this? rig exactly in sig..anyone else have this problem or a solution?
 
I had a problem like that with the first matrix game (yes I bought it, and I know it was a mistake). It took about five tries to install. Later on I had trouble with another install, can't remember what, and found out that something in windows installer had gotten messed up. So I reinstalled it and problem was solved.
