Comp can't read JPEG from SD card

Ok, here's one bad problem.

i have two pc networked together.. I tried installing ACDSee7.0 but when I tried to run it, it gives me error about database and quits.. so i uninstalled it. but after all that, the PC can't read JPEG from SD card connected through USB reader.

weird thing is, other PC (PC1) can read those images fine .

i'm guessing I messed up a plug-in for showing JPEG on the PC2, but it can open other JPEG files on its Hard drive..

what can i do to undo this problem ?? (acdsee is uninstalled)

What exactly happens when you try to open a JPEG?

Have you checked the file associations? My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types. For JPE, JPG and JPEG make sure the program they're setup to open with is whatever photo viewer app you want to use. Usually you use "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer).

Hope this helps...

when opening JPEG w/

acdsee: causing unrecoverable plug-in error .. IDE_something

windows viewer: cannot show image (blank)

like i said, other JPEG files open fine... it's just JPEG from the sd card

Use System Restore and go back to a date before you made changes. (Assuming your reeader used to work.)
