The writers are what make this kind of show work. Just when you think it going to turn bland and predictable, they throw in a joke that keeps you watching.

Chevy Chase can re-energize his career if they allow his character to stretch the humor. Joel McHale knows comedy from seeing the worst examples on his other show.

I'm hoping that this show makes it.

Yeah, comedies are all about the writing first and foremost, though of course the acting/delivery is critical. It's why Arrested Development was so awesome, the use of double (and a couple of triples) entendres and the characters was very well done, and some of the recurring plot elements would just come back in a crazy way.

The pilot for this show was great, I'm hoping the series can be consistently good.

I really liked the premiere, which is surprising since they really showed half the show already in the previews over the past 2 months. I'm looking forward to watching an untainted second episode next week.

Just watched the debut and really liked it! Added it to my DVR schedule and just hope they can keep it up.

2nd episode fell flat. Huge dropoff in quality.
Very, very disappointing.

Damn. I PVRed it, so have not watched yet, but I was worried about this happening. 🙁

"let's have what the kids are calling a sausage fest"

Oh wow, only through first 5 minutes, but it's hilarious.

Lmao, Señor Chang.

Seriously, even if the quality fals off precipitously for the rest of the episode, it's worth it.

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Very funny show. Cast is all great, and a welcome return to form from Chevy Chase even.

Don't worry just yet. Finished the episode, and it was good.
Not as comedy packed as the pilot, but that's expected.

Its not to bad so far. I kind of like the characters and the idea, I'm not sure on it but I'll actually keep watching based on what I've seen.

Paraphrased barely audible from Chevy at the end to Joel: "You weren't half bad, but you keep doing this thing with your mouth that makes people think about how cool that you think you are."

What the hell is going on here? Nobody on ATOT is supposed to like anything on TV! You're all supposed to be saying things like "fail" and "epic" and "blah" and other assorted Internet talk!

I thought last night's episode was hilarious, though they may have drawn out a couple of the jokes a bit too much. The Asian Spanish teacher's rant and their "performance" in front of Spanish class were both hilarious, but they were a little too long.

Great show though, I'm glad this one is not a disappointment.

Yeah, Ken Jeong! I love that guy. I thought the episode was pretty darn good and I'll be sticking with the show.

I found this too as did a friend of mine. I don't know why they didn't include john oliver, the best guy from the pilot, in this one. Who knows, i will give it a third shot because the first was so good. Then it's off if it doesn't buck up.

bwhahaha the ending spanish rap was awesome

the second episode wasnt as good as the first, but it definitely had potential, to me it seemed more like the chemistry between the actors wasnt as good as in the first while the writing was decent.

ill keep an eye on it for a few more episodes for sure
