If your gonna fail, fail big.

And why this year are there many more stories of student violence? I understand that around finals people get more stressed, but why are the more stories this year than most others? Bad economy? People cant afford to fail?

Maybe they shouldnt fuck off so much. In my math class we have at least 3 guys who really shouldnt be there. They need to go out to the work force full time and learn about life. Then come back to school and be more appreciative of how good a chance college is.

Oh, and this is the Woodbridge campus of NOVA. Which I almost attended this semester but I ended up going to the Manassas Campus instead. Kinda scary.

Actually that's not fail. He'll probably do a lot less time because he missed and didn't kill anyone. Plus the professor is still alive.

If that was his intent, he failed even harder.

He could have went about it a better way and got himself an armed assault charge instead of an attempted murder.

At the risk of sounding like an old man complaining about kids these days, I almost want to blame the way school is run. I mean, you're telling every kid they're a special unique snowflake that can become president of the Universe, combined with grade inflation and helicopter parents who always take the kids side and you raise people who have never even endured a small failure early in life. Then you mix in the fact that young people don't always have the best judgement and the first failure they endure is suddenly the end of their life and a vast conspiracy against them.

Ya, thats pat of it for sure. Like the retards who ban dodgeball and think every kid should get a trophy, wether they won or lost.

"He was definitely one of the nicest people," Zong said.

These are from a Post article on this in the paper this morning:

"Not somebody you pay attention to," said 18-year-old Alyssa Brown.
"Just another face in the class," said Amanda Guevara, also 18.

So this kid sucks at Math, decides to shoot his teacher with a rifle for giving him a bad grade[1]. He shoots twice, completely misses both times[2 & 3], then to top things off, his rifle jams, and because he has no idea how to fix it, he drops it on the floor. Then he decides to wait for campus police to show up and surrenders to them[4].

.

Quadruple fail to me... OP also sucks at math, please don't shoot the me. :p

Shame he dropped the rifle, it would have been better if the police shot him dead.

Wait, there's a problem here. It lists the rifle as a bolt action. How the hell does a bolt action jam?

Sorry but no one was babbling about self esteem much before the 1980's

Yeah, the prospect of working your life at Walmart, until finally "retiring" as a greeter....well hey, good for you if that's your idea of a dream job. I'd question your sanity and intelligence if you did, but, whatever.

Thanks in part to college, I found my way to a very nice job at a company that doesn't make me dread going to work every day, unlike my share of retail jobs I've worked.

An extractor issue on a brand new gun? Damn, maybe I should avoid Marlins.

I'm guessing the kid was a noob when it came to firearms and didnt cycle it properly, was all nervous and did a half cock, getting the brass of the 2nd round jammed as he tried to chamber his 3rd.

Depends, in most jurisdictions attempted murder by firearm is a life sentence. So it's definitely fail because if you're going to get a massive jail sentence, you might as well have actually killed the person.
