hello all, i know this question might be a bit too specific, but i know there are very smart people here on the forums, so i decided to give it a shot. We are doing a project, and we need to assume the value, or if we can find it, of the power gain of an antenna. Specifically the average or expected gains of AM and cell phone (PCS) antennas. If yo uwant more details just ask, however right now, we dont have data to calculate it, so we are trying to just assume it, but we need an idea or usual values for power gain of these antennas. So... thanks a bunch and excuse the trouble.

I'm not an antenna expert, so it would be wise to do some reading. Anyway, usual gains for cell phone antennas are anywhere from 0-5 db for the built-in ones. External ones can go up to somewhere around 10 IIRC. Also, I think there are two different scales used for measuring db even though they're both marked as "db", so keep that in mind.
