I want to know what I missed... Maybe one was hanged/hung. I think "hung" may be acceptable usage for past tense, even though it's wrong.

Nope, "hanged" for the gallows, "hung" for the gallery.

I am hung too.

Considering my education, I wipe the floor with most in here
No one has a clue!

well without qualification to the latter we can assume the former is true. 😉

I have 7 years of college (core not bullshit), but english classes were rare after my sophomore year so not really relevant to this. Almost all biological sciences.

Grammar is grade school and high school level stuff.

Basic grammar (such as was in this test) is simply not a college level subject, except in the remedial, "Welcome To Trailer Trash County Community College" sense.

When did you go to school, were dinosaurs students?

That grammar test was tricky...grammar itself is a very commonly misspelled word.

Unfortunately today's schools don't really teach too much...fortunately at the college level you can catch up.

My brother lived in Louisiana a while back...his g/f's kid came home with their senior paper was to be 'Pick a newspaper or magazine article' as the final paper.

He went in to contest this and they said grading novels takes too long.

Seven years of college, eh? I can certainly see why you considered that basic grade school/high school grammar test tricky. 😛

I was never in there school district (louisiana) he was there only due to military relocation.

The test was designed to be tricky. The non-advanced/expert questions were obviously...

This is like the online IQ tests where you see a statistically improbably result.

I am thinking you took this a few times like those that take the same IQ test online over and over thinking it's showing their intellect has increased.

You make fun of someone and try to brag, but you post this Bullshit of yours?.......

shortredhead78 may post an interesting English test, but her (his?) math skills are decidedly lacking. I notice many results posted with 93%, 87%, 73%, etc. Four sections, each of ten questions. Shouldn't these all be even multiples of 10%?

edit: 100, 100, 93, 100. I misread the "complement" question.

engineers usually have to write a lot of documentation. they are supposed to look professional too 😉

Supposed to, but I've come across several data sheets with all sorts of mistakes.

Advanced

You scored 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 73% Expert!
You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels' questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score.

Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!
