I usually visit gamespot for news but as of late I can't stand them it anymore.
It loads flash ads for quite a while and there is no way to skip it. I was force to watch The Bourne Identity Trailer just now.
Screw them. I'm not going there anymore.
IGN, same story, even worse. Need to register just to read anything worthwhile. And these popping flash animation ads (is that what it is? cos pop up killer can't block that. How to disable it ?) totally ruin stuff. Goodbye.
Gaming Age, pretty tolerable. Not enough contents. Review also obscure by popup that always blocks final ratings.
Gamers is pretty good, but I can't help to feel that the site is cram with too much information. kinda messy.

Any alternatives out there ?
Games Domain is still reliable. That's all I have left.

Yeah, it's pretty sucky all around. You could try Adrenaline Vault. The funny thing about all these game sites going to closed content is that I'll probably end up buying far fewer games. So it's not just themselves they're hurting.

Yes, but unfortunately the game companies weren't really supporting the gaming sites with money, just press materials and demos that the game sites had to pay the bandwidth fees for. Even now gamespot only gets 1-3 downloads sponsored.
