My Asus A7N8X E Deluxe recently died. I should have gone with your suggestions early. I am now going to do penance by giving all my life to the AT forum. Now I need some suggestions about this new rig. I will be using it for gaming and website design. I want socket 939 and will not be doing any overclocking but will be upgrading to a all copper heatsink later (Zalman or Thermalright). I need AGP. Right now I have around $270. I have choosen Abit AV8 and a AMD 64 3000

I absolutely love my MSI Neo2 Plat. I ordered it from Staples. You could use a coupon and pricematch and get a great price.

I personally would like Gigabyte but I wouldn't care which one. I would like the higher end board the Ultra and the 3+ but I would go with the lower end so I could get a AMD 64 3200 any comments.

AMD 64 rocks brother! I was defiantely impressed at the speed of that processor. I ditched my Intel Rig and am strictly running AMD 64's in all my rigs now ;)

One you get the MSI Neo2 up and running, it is an awesome board.
IMO, MSI does have some QC issues, but you won't find a better S939 OC'ing board.

My epox 8RDA+ died 2 days ago and I just ordered parts to upgrade to A64 too.

I'm not going to overclock either and went with a Soltek board coupled with a 3200+ 939.

The Epox comes close. If you have $270 to spend, a 3000+ and a nForce3 board are a good bet. Just find one that has good reviews and all the features you want and can afford.
