Comment on Fantasy Football trade.

Ok, so i have this kid Chad Johnson. A guy in the league (he's won like 5 of the 7 years we've done this league) offers me Marty Booker and Thomas Jones, i don't really need either but i think booker is a bit of an upgrade, he thinks Johnson is a big upgrade. I'm not sold on Johnson, and in the end, none of us know until the season starts.

Fine, i accept the trade. I get Marty Booker and Thomas Jones, He gets Chad Johnson. If anything i'd say the trade is in my favor.

another guy in this league protests, because he claims that i trade my best players to this other guy.

Does anyone here feel that i'm being taken in this trade?

Thomas Jones is waiver wire fodder. He's useless. You traded Chad Johnson for Marty Booker essentially. I think it's a wash... both guys will probably have 1100 or so yards, between 3-7 TDs. I don't think either guy wins this deal... UNLESS you had to drop someone to make room for the inept Thomas Jones.

i would be dropping marc boericter but i could easily get him back off waiver wires.

basically, espn will probably cancel this trade because it is a 2 for 1 deal.

anyway, this isn't a trade worth protesting in my opinon.

I think you are getting ripped off. Johnson has a solid QB to start the season with, and the Bungles will be better than past seasons.

The Bears have a huge question mark at QB and i just don't think that Booker will put up the numbers. Thomas Jones is a waste.

I can't see why that guy would protest though. that's kinda dumb.

i have Peerless Price, Rod Smith and Keyshawn johnson to probably take most of the starts.

I've got Ricky Williams and Corry Dillon as RB.

Booker is pretty consistent. i agree about thomas jones. but i'd rather have a 3rd string RB on my bench than a 5th string WR (boerictor).

it's a even deal and it's all speculation as to who will be better.

i would not have made that trade
i wanted chad johnson, do you realize how many yards the bengals passing attack started to rack up @ the end of the season
kitna had at least a couple 350-400 yard games man.
marty booker??? a bears wideout, with kordell throwin to him
you got the shaft.

Kitna?? i'd never put my money on Kitna to be anything more than average.

Gotta agree with this appraisal of the trade.

Still better than Kordell.

marc boericter is a interesting sleeper at WR. scored 8 TDs in only 11 games last year. I probably would pick him back up over thomas jones if you do stick with the trade.

I agree you really got taken on that trade. I would have protested that trade too. Go check the game logs for those two players last season. You'll see that Johnson did nothing for the first month of the season, yet still broke 1000 yards receiving for the year.

possibly, but i'm not convinced KC will have the offensive output this year that they did last year.

boerigter is sort piqueing my interest, i picked up trent green as a backup and hed be nice for the double dip scoring.
but i have mcnabb starting so i might not even need green, if he starts out hot and not throwing INTs hes gonna get dealt off.
i just cant trust the KC wideouts to perform, isnt johnnie morton their number 1? but green didnt really have anyone last year and still had some impressive fantasy numbers, even with the god awful amount of INTs he threw.

should have kept johnson...it's kordell's 1st season as a bear, so it's not like booker's going to have better stats than last year. johnson and kitna had a solid season and will build on that for this season. in other words, johnson has more upside potential.

It is probably a wash between Booker and C.Johnson....I would personally rather have Johnson b/c as mentioned there seems to be more upside with him. But you never know.
