command or program to shutdown XP

Hi. I am in desperate need for either a "run" command line, or a program that does shutdown in windows XP. This is for use with MBM specifically.

as an example rundll32.exe user32.dll,ExitWindows ->>> does not work in XP, or any other combo I have tried.

SHDN shut-down now program will not install on XP.

there must be a simple switch for user under windows XP to shutdown. Anybody know it?

ps - unrelated - at first windows would shutdown but not power-down. I enabled APM, and now it works.
