Command line to show uninstalled hardware in device manager?

I saw a post a while ago, and I can no longer find it. If I remember correctly there were some characters that you could type after devmgmt.msc, and the device manager that showed up would show uninstalled hardware and would allow you to remove the drivers for the old hardware.

from the Command Prompt type:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
Press ENTER

then

start devmgmt.msc
Press ENTER

In Device Manger, go to 'View' and click "Show hidden devices"


Everything should be listed.
