why not buy used? you may want to check FS/FT - if no one has a post FS, post a WTB

I don't have any Heat and I'm pretty scared about getting ripped off... I guess in this case it would be pretty cheap so it wouldn't tear my heart out, but the principle just pisses me off...

what about EB or Gamestop? they usually have those bundle packs with a bunch of the C&C Games. you my have to go to the actual B&M store to find it though. they don't usually have that older stuff listed online.

Hey! awesome, I loved the original C&C too. Dune 2 was my favorite game right up to when C&C came out and blew it away.

That's sweet but I have the better titles on there (Tiberian Sun, RA 2, Generals, Yuri's Revenge)...

Anyone played the Covert Missions? If so, how is it?

I used to see the jewel cases at Wal-Mart all the time and actually bought one once (the dog ate one of the discs from the game) but they don't have ti anymore. :(

I used to have Covert Ops, and it was alright at its time, but hard as hell and rather weak compared to other later expansions like Yuri's Revenge.

I'd get that 1st Decade if its not too expensive. I read before that they were fixing some of them so they would all run fine with XP. Otherwise you may need to try some sort of fix to play the older ones, though C&C Gold might work for XP with compatbility mode.

Otherwise for Red Alert alone, FS/FT is your best bet, or Ebay, but really this old you might have to buy a rather large pack but even then its probably gonna be $20 or less.

Holy ******, I've already got C+C, RA, RA:CS, RA:A, CC Gen but I STILL might buy that pack, that's tough to beat just for archive purposes.

I've most of the games also, but I wonder will it work if I install it on Windows XP.
If I ever decided to buy this collection, the only reason is that I can play all my favorite games on XP.

As soon as i clicked that link and saw it i went to gameplay.co.uk and pre-ordered it. Amazing deal for some of the best games ever made.

As for the covert ops... If you thought you were good at c&c, complete these missions. Theres one called "CnC Under Siege" Its probably the hardest mission ive ever played, along with that tiberian sun mission in firestorm where the core defender comes alive and starts kickin ass. Theyre both easy if you know how though :) like everything.

I've gotten CC and RA to work in XP, but it's not exactly and easy process and I'd have to do a net search again to figure out how to do it, so for 40 bucks, this collection will be mine since it natively supports XP!

Well, I decided to search all over the place tonight for the Discs... I found both Tiberian Sun discs, the Aftermath Expansion, one of the Generals discs, and the Soviet RA disc.

Booooo. Feb. 7 can't come quick enough.

Westwood/EA has already released a WinXP patch for both C&C Gold and Red Alert Gold. Google is your friend.

Hello,

Yes they have for the most part. Not all of the online features are available anymore however they should run without trouble on XP. Thank you for your patience.

Have all of the games in the C&C: First Decade collection been edited to be compatable with Windows XP?

I'm getting ready to go purchase it (well calling the local retailers to see if they have it).

Has anyone purchased yet?
