:D Interested in seeing how high the 2.4C will go both cpu/fsb wise.

I just got my IC7 and 2.4c yesterday.

250FSB and 3GHz at default voltage is no problem at all.

I just have to see where the limit is on this chip.

what fsb/mem ratio do you run to hit the 250 and 290 fsb? I really want a memory that could hit those speeds but I'm afraid its probably not going to happen

Nice, post your findings. :D

I will once I get WinXP reinstalled. I used a spare drive until I had time to get my WD2000JB formatted and ready to rock.

with ddr2 its very likely it will

At 250FSB..
5:4 memory = DDR400
3:2 memory = DDR333

at 290FSB
5:4 memory = DDR464
3:2 memory = DDR386

So it shouldn't require exotic memory to overclock the FSB.

Got her a little early! So far so good, running 280fsb at 1.575, 5:4 mem divider. I won't be doing extensive testing on this until at least tomorrow night. I receive my Abit Serial2 adaptors tomorrow, then I can finally flash my bios to the 1.1 and be able to set my own timings... More to come

Yeah, Yeah I know

I am getting ready for vacation, and I have not been able to spend much time with the rig yet...if I can, I will post some benches tonight. I just got my Serial 2 adaptors, so I was able to flash the bios and be able to keep all my mem timings. So, as it stands I am at 280fsb, 448ddr @ 2-3-2-6 with my Twinmos/Winbond 3200ddr.

Have a newbie question here. I have an IC7 and a P4 2.6 800 FSB with two sticks of Corsair VS DDR 400 512 memory. I want to overclock the system, but I have never done it before.

My first question is what will happen to my memory if I run it at a speed higher than 400. For example, the CPU has a multiplier of 13, so if I run the FSB at 270, using a multiplier of 5:4 would give me 430. Would this damage my memory, or would it be better to run the 3:2 multiplier and end up with 360?

Also, what are the memory settings such as 2-3-2-6, and where do I set these? Does this need to be done when overclocking?

Last, do I need to worry about my video card if my memory is running faster than 400?

Thanks - Any guidance would be appreciated
