Hi, strange request, but I'm looking for old comic book collections. I want to read the original story lines for comics like superman, spiderman, x-men and such, or whatever storylines would be considered the "main" storylines. it's a strange request since unlike some japanese manga, many american comics don't really have a "main" storyline, but i'm looking for the storylines that most represent the authors' themes. you could say i'm basically looking for the comic book versions of the storylines that inspire the movies.

anybody know where i could find a collection or anthology of these (preferably on the cheap)?
