last year, a co-worker of mine got me back into the habit of buying comic books. he told me about a mini-series called "origin" that tells the story of wolverine's childhood and stuff. basically it explains that wolverine's claws are his part of his natural skeleton. i'm thinking... what about the admantium? then my co-worker told me something about how magneto ripped all the admantium out of wolverine's body... i was like HOLY CRAP! so i went ahead and bought those comics off ebay :) i thought that story was really cool  just wondering... what other cool storylines are there? i remember back in the day before i stopped collecting comic books... there was a thing with the x-men, how bishop comes from the future and says that one of the x-men is a traitor :Q what was the deal with that? spoilers please!!! :p

last nite when i was reading the comci with wolverine getting the admantium ripped outta his body... bishop had some mutant ability to absorb magneto's energy... then release it (when he release the energy, he can like shoot it at ppl... in yesterday case... he blasted magneto thru a wall). i dunno what exactly that means tho...

i read the whole thing at the library, the 4 quasi-supermen, with the real one being reborn, and them fighting the evil superman who was actually one of supermans old enemies come back to imitate him. :D good stuff. He ended up dying by a huge stream of liquid-gas kryptonite, which kills the evil dude and, when passed through a quasi-superman, turns into positive energy that returns Supermans powers! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D i love it.

You do realize what that comic is worth, in mint condition, still wrapped, don't you? :Q Or what it WILL be worth in 10 years? Jeebus, I almost have to take a shoe off to count that high.

If you want to read some good stories, check out the books from the now defunct Valiant Comics. They were to the writing world of comics as Image was to the artistic side.

XO Manowar, Magnus Robot Fighter, Archer and Armstrong, Rai, HardCORPs, Harbinger... terrific writing...

Right now my two comics of choice are Ultimate Spider-man (I read all the other, but this is my fav), and Powers. Both are written by the same person. Each series is pretty young, so you can get catch up pretty easily.
