Comic book fans: What's happening with Batman these days?

The recent confirmation of Christian Bale as Batman has left me wondering what has been going on with the character in his various comic books. I used to collect Batman and Detective Comics years ago, and stopped just after the Knightfall storyline.

So, any major developments? Who's drawing the books now? Last I knew it was Kelly Jones for Batman and Graham Nolan for Detective...

he turned gay, and now he and robin co-habitate in a swanky apartment on central park

new story line rocks.
HUSH is worth the buy. i think it will be done in another few months and then dc will, once again, put out some tpb of it.
anyway, nothing really life-changing has happened, its just good story-telling.
there are some interesting events but...none of them seem like they are going to exist outside of this story-arc.

Jim Lee's drawing Batman now. Looks good. Haven.t read much of it, but this whole batman/catwoman love story seems a little late for me

Jim Lee? Really? (I stopped buying X-Men after Lee left.) Who's inking the work? IMO, the inker makes a HUGE difference.

I really liked Kelly Jones. His surrealist style was totally opposite of Graham Nolan's clean, total realism. Made for an interesting contrast.

Any development with regards to Tim Drake's Robin? Any major villian storylines?

I think I'll pick up a few issues just to read.
