Trying to explain to my wife why I just bought a jeep wrangler for me and my daughter and this old commercial came to mind. No one can remember who or what and google just isn't working after early happy hour........

It was definitely a Nissan commercial from the mid-90's. It might've been the first one featuring that smiling 'Mr. Nissan,' or just before that campaign started.

heck if I know I *thought* it was an isuzu commercial, and dug around google until I found something to confirm it. No video, though

I was positive it wasn't jeep...thought it was nissan, toyota ..japanese origin...

Wife's cool with the purchase, she knew upfront... likes soft top... just the jeep thing

I don't know if anyone is still following this discussion but it's worth a try. Did anyone ever find this add? I've been looking and can't find it. I used to live in the apartment across from the little girl coloring in the commercial when I lived in Costa Mesa as a kid. I've been trying to explain the commercial to my wife but she doesn't remember it. Funny how women don't seem to remember this add. If it were played on the Super Bowl they probably would though, lol.
