this is sweet!, itonly works on recorded shows (obviously) but it's doing it in the background while i type this 😀

:cookie: for me !

I use meedio as my front end with a menuchoice to jump over to sage for tv.

I love sage, it's only competitionis beyondtv (in windows, i'm working on getting mythtv running) beyond lets you transcode, but uses software encoding, sage uses only hardware. but is limited to mpeg2 (soon mpeg4 support with the new tuner card)
they also have an active support forum.

my main problem right now is getting sage, meedio and a remote to work nice for the wife.

So you use Meedio for music, movies, pics? Any reason you don't use Sage for all of it?

Sorry, I'm hijacking your thread to answer my questions...

beyond TV uses hardware as well.

I like meedio better. the menus seem to flow better and I feel I can customize it more. beyond tv has some advantages as well but I like sage over it. once the new beyondtv is released it may be better though, and I'm still waiting on meediotv.

also I am looking at this for a business model.I want to branch off into HTPC. I am sick of driving all day to fix computers, I do about 70% business/30% home users. I'd like to be able to concentrate on one area.
