Comedy Central and SNL

this is horrible....starting jan 1st there will be no more snl episodes on comedycentral!!!!!


instead they will be showing that horrible show madtv.

i havent seen anything offical but at comedycentral.com there are no snl episodes scheduled for the 2 weeks of january...only madtv.


and while channel surfiing i saw a commercial on e! saying starting jan 1st snl repeats will exclusivly be on e!.


anyone else have any info on this???

So watch SNL on e! then. It's not that big of deal, I think in my area its only like 11 channels inbetween the two channels.

Then just watch it when SNL is on. What's the big deal? I thought they were going to stop showing them at all.

Maybe it's just me, but imo SNL is just a bad parody of itself anymore. Maybe one or two good skits these days if you're lucky. Blah.

Good. It seems like all Comedy Central plays is SNL reruns. Over and over and over...finally it will end.

Not good enough to play them as much as they do. Of course, I was never really a huge fan of SNL, and frankly, it seems like half the people on the show in any given season will annoy the hell out of me. And I'm a pretty hard guy to annoy. It just seems like a lot of the time, the skits are not funny, period. I don't know, personal tastes I guess.

Edit: I don't like MadTV either.

MadTV is super funny sometimes. recently it seems they lost some of their good sketches

personally, i dont watch snl much as _usually_ i dont find it that funny (does have its moments though)

it is better than Madtv however, oh well...i still wont watch that either

MAD tv is hilarious. Some of the skits are lame, but at least 3 out of 5 have me smiling. Whereas SNL is lucky to get a chuckle anymore. And although i really don't to see the same SNL skit over and over, it's still better then reno 911 and crank yankers...get that crap off the air

kids in the hall is perfect. strong people, hilarious writing, and they knew when to stop (both a sketch and the show) two things that certainly can not be said for SNL.

Wow...I think the same thing....but reversed. Kids sucks IMO of course. New SNLs suck too though. Its been bad since Ferrell left.

obviously its just one of those taste issues. however, i am surprised that you disagree that many of the SNL sketches go on way too long. i start to get embarrased for the writers/actors more than 1/2 the time. the uncomfortable silence from the auidence kills me.

i just get so tired of the sketches on SNL. they are all so predicably boring. if not for the celebs and bands, i dont think i would bother with it. especially since the cast has hit yet another valley. i flip it on when im around and usually just get through a single sketch or two nowadays.
