Ok, so you fill in a description for each deal, but that information seems to up and disappear once you submit the eval. is there anywhere to see transaction descriptions?

Also - if I leave heatware for someone who sold me an item, do I use "sold item", cause they sold me an item, or "bought item" cause I bought an item from them. It's not made clear anywhere.

Anyone know these things?

edit: changed the title to more acurately reflect the contents of the thread.

Mods - lock this, it's jsut a big flame-fest.

Maybe you should stop complaining about a free service

well it used to say [open] under actions behind each eval, but then it disappeared..
maybe it was taking to much bandwidth so they had to put it on hold for a while or something.. thats my guess.

Yeah for the price we pay you'd think it would be perfect.

My some of you sound rather ungrateful. But then that's par for the course here at ATOT.

Ummm, yeah here's an idea. Donate a lot of money and THEN say it "suck".

I'm sure some constructive criticism is welcome, but how about being a little more appreciative and courteous? How would you feel if you were dumping a load of cash into a free project to help people and someone decided to post just how much it sucked?

Try a little tact.

I think Paypal should buy them and offer the service to their members. Put the 15% people lose on transactions to good use... :)

Actually what I think "sucks" is the all the effort and work Heat has put into helping this community hasn't made him a single penny thus far. I rely heavily on the site and greatly appreciate his efforts on the behalf of the trading community.

How much it costs really doesn't affect the quality of the site. The site they have now isn't very good regardless of whether it's free, or it costs $20/month. Just because it's free does not mean it good.

I was thinking about donating a few bucks last night, but then I was going through the site, and there's no help, nor any mention of when these features might be added. I'm not going to be giving them money when they don't even mention that they will add this stuff in the future. If they had those things working, or had even mentioned that they were working on adding them, I woulda sent en $5 last night (yeah, it's not a lot, but it's better than nothing)

Also, they're using an Imac for a server.

Well I don't see what's motivating heat to make the site better. It's obviously not money....

I think Heatware is great and all, but I would like to see something like it done by Anand. Maybe it could be a service for subscribers or something. Anand would make money off of it, it could be tightly integrated into the forums, and it would be a more trustworthy site than Heatware. No offense to Heat and all, but right now any Joe could go in and make some fake evals. If it were done on Anandtech, you could verify those users when they subscribe.

Well it's a hell of a lot fscking better than what you are offering. If you don't like it don't use it. Of course it's the same idiots like you who ends up getting ripped off by some stank troll time and time again and then clogs up the For Sale Forum whining about how he was ripped off.

Typical ATOT Dweebs, always sniveling about something

I lost all my previous evals when they changed over to the new format. I don't even know if I can get them back. I've tried emailing and still nothing has worked....

Kinda like you, huh? sniveling about "Typical ATOT Dweebs". Talking about trolls, who here's the one who's always first to jump on any opinion he doesn't agree with, start swearing and insulting people, making up stories about what happens to "idiots like you"? Oh, that would be you.

What's a matter notfred, I hit gold with my criticism of you? FYI, over 1,000 trades without being ripped off once or having to run to the forums crying my eyes out because some troll ripped me off.

1:Stop using it and see how many people want to trade with you.
2:Stop using it and see how many times you get screwed in deals.

Do either one of those for a while and then come back and say how much it sucks.

Great, you're a good trader, good for you. Doesn't mean the new heatware doesn't suck.

That's exactly the problem with it. If there was an alternative to it, I'd use that. There isn't though, it's either use heatware, or don't trade.

Before anyone tells me "I don't see you making anything better"... really, let's say I did make a better eval site than heatware, would you sign up? How about you Red Dawn, would you sign up for my eval service?
