As the title suggests, I would like my computer to come out of hibernation (or standby) within a set amount of time

Is there a way to do this??

Thanks

Well what version of windows? How long does it take now? What time do you want? Minutes? My laptop ( P4 2.66 ) pops out of Hibernation in about 20 seconds and standby about 10 seconds. I'm not sure what you want?

There is software that you can set to control in and out of such things.

corkyg,

From reading the highlights, that program only deal with scheduling of the time that a computer awakes or shutsdown, not controlling the timeframe within which it occurs, as the OP wants.

My understanding is that if you control the time of shutdown and the time of awakening you are accomplishing the mission. IOW, if I set hibernate at 12:00 PM, and wake up at 1:30 PM, I have in effect set the hibernate time to 90 minutes.
