What a nice Sunday morning: woke up rested, took a nice cup of coffee.
Looked att my comps - all crunching along nicely.
Cast an eye at the stats ...
Seti@Home --- 2 500 228 credits. Just look here - it may even be more credits! 🙂
That felt really good.
Joined December 2, 2001, crunching the Set@Home classic (15 529 WUs, a total of 76 594 CPU hours).
Since December 2004 BOINC was managing the WUs. I just wish I knew how many WUs it has been and how many CPU-hours. Most of my computers crunch 24/7/365.
OTOH: different projects all the time: CPDN, Malaria Control, WCG and Einstein are always on.
TAS is a lot of fun and takes usually some 30 - 50% of the capacity.
And then are the new (at least for me) projects: just now Docking@home, YoYo (evolution@home and Muon) ... some times I return to a project because there are WUS (e.g. SIMAP) and soon LHC.
Did I write that this is a nice Sunday? With a steaming hot cup of coffee?
With some great remembrances: "Please delete" - thread, the by now almost annual "Holyday Season Race" @ Folding@Home (between TAS and the other folders, which TAS never has won, except in the sense that the TeAm's production in F@H always has increased by some 30 - 50%), some interesting ethical discussions ...
Knowing crunchers around the world: I have friends in the US, Canada, South Afrika, Germany, Luxemburg, Finland, Shanghai, Down-under, and some more.
I really enjoy DC, and I can really say that I have not had one boring minute: frustrationg sometimes (e.g. not knowing what was wrong with a cruncher, or when there was one less than polite post in the forums ...) but never boring or non-rewarding!
Thanks TeAm mates, I really enjoy your company and - of course - the crunching.
I would crunch without you all, but then it would not be nearly as much fun as it is!
Edit: spelling of course - when did I not make an error, added the link.
