NAGPUR, India (AP) — A high school student in central India was recognized as the world's shortest woman by Guinness World Records on Friday as she turned 18 and said she hopes to earn a degree and make it in Bollywood.
Jyoti Amge stood just 62.8 centimeters (24.7 inches) tall — shorter than the average 2-year-old — when Guinness representatives visiting from London measured her at a ceremony attended by about 30 relatives and friends in the town of Nagpur, in Maharashtra state.

I wonder what would happen if she got pregnant. Would she have a miniature baby? A regular sized baby would cause a miscarriage or kill her.

LOL @ Lifted

Achondroplasics are apparently fertile, but obviously in her case it'd be really risky. Would probably be less risky if the kid inherited the same gene, but that's not saying much.

OP: Nope. Age notwithstanding, she looks and sounds too much like a child. Cute, but not in any doable sense.

You could use an Altoids tin for the babys bed :^D

With 1.17 billion people, there are gonna be plenty of extremes. And the creepy look on the guy's face in the OP's pic makes me think he would hit it.
But it seems like 80% of the world's really fvcked up genetic accidents do come from India with Siamese twins p the yin yang, people born pregnant with their twin in them, etc

Some of those "genetic accidents" aren't really genetic. If the mother doesn't get the right dietary requirements, you can see some things go wrong. Also think about the exposure to certain chemical and biological agents since India is still a 3rd world country.

wow, this is actually the same kind of dwarfism as wee man, it is different than the dwarfism that the chinese guy had. His form of dwarfism (primordial) doesn't live past 25, her kind of dwarfism lives a normal life span.

It's a hobbit! Don't even know if I could hit it. Would def be cool to have around.
