Before we moved here over 3 years ago, I had Comcast cable and Tivo.
The new place had no cable available so I went with Dish. We are moving to an area that has Comcast and I might go with them. But having to pay for service and then a fee to use a dvr on something I already pay for rubs me the wrong way. I am tempted to unpack the Tivo and just give them the money.

I'll likely have to use their HD DVR to get HD. But for the second TV (SD) I wouldn't need to.

Tivo still work with Comcast cable?

As far as I'm aware Tivo will still work with Comcast. Granted you won't be able to receive the digital channels through it but if everything that you want to record is on analog then you should be fine.

TiVo has changed their fee structure I believe but I haven't been keeping up on it. We have two TiVos on Comcast and they work fine. I also have their HD-DVR but I prefer the TiVo interface.
