Here's my theory. They get everyone hooked on 3MB/sec and then in a few months they come out and raise the price for 3MB. Then they'll offer the 1.5MB at a different price that will somehow work out to be more than it was last year.

It's like crack, they get you hooked and soon you're willing to pay more for it.

that would be the final straw. I would cancel my cable, get dsl and a set of bunny ears and never look back.

I was hping for 256/256 for $19.99 - they were going to do that awhile back.

I've gone from 29.99 with @home to 53.99 in just a couple years - and @home was still faster than comcrap.

That is exactly what I think they are up to also. When my speed went from 1.5mb to 3.4 mb overnight without paying more i knew something was fishy.

Those bastards raised my speed to 3MB and blocked terminal services. I feel ripped off considering I pay them 130.00$ for TV and internet.

At least you don't have adelphia. Those fvcks changed their package offerings recently, to their new 'value' packs. In effect, they just eliminated the cheaper options, and raised the rates for everything else. Then the fvcks have the nerve to say they are offering us a better 'value' now. Where I come from, less channels for more money is not a better value.

When I get a house, DSL and dish and I'm dumping these fvcks for good.

They will just go "Due to costs of providing you the fastest speed on the net, we are forced to raise our prices from $40 to 60$ a month).
