Comcast SUCKS!!!!

Well I got a call from Comcast Abuse department telling me that I am abusing their TOS. This is a bunch of crap as they offer so called "unlimited" service and I am paying for megabit a sec 24/7 so I should be able to use that. BTW I use around 250 Gigs last month

If you ask CS they wont tell you the limit and don't know what it is. I have not even had it a month yet. I signed up on Feb 12th. From what I have been reading they limit is something around 200GB.
From what I figured out I am paying for 24/7 access at 6megs a sec. It averages out to a little under 2TB of bandwidth that I am paying from. I am using only about 15% of that and they are saying I am abusing the service?!?! WTF!

They only give you a hard time if there are no other competitors. My Comcast keeps raising their speeds trying to keep customers... now up to 23K down and 1.6K up which is a huge improvement on the upload speed. And the burst speed only seems to apply to the upload as downloads are so fast that I keep expecting to get "that call". 😉

If they ever give me any grief I will go to DSL so fast their heads will spin and take my digital HDTV cable with me and get the dish. They will never give up that $100+ a month.

Why is that sad?

there are multiple companies out there that other their stuff via downloads

Vongo, Netflix, Xbox Live, Itunes, Video Sites like You tube, IPTV, streaming music station and so on makes it extremely easy to the 200GBs a month

There is no way you download that much stuff and it's legal, I suggest you take your slap on the wrist and don't download so much.

Are they streaming 1080p quality lectures?

An off topic question but what is the best newsgroup provider? I have never used them but I want to check them out.

I actually go to school online, I would be shocked if my scholastic downloads for the year total over 50mb

I had an online A+ class that had over a gig for a small, short 1 unit class

non the less, a company should not advertise and offer "unlimited" if they are not going to hold up to it

Downloading porn and pirateing is bad mmk.

According to who? There are 10x more people who think it's ok compared to those who think not. If porn was banned from use on the web, the whole internet would shut down.

The people have spoken
