Comcast People, what IP's are you being assigned?

Can anyone give me like the first 8 digits of the IP they are being assigned by comcast. particularly if you live in New Jersey. I wanna know if the changes i've made have worked. i'm not sure whether i'm on the @home network or the comcast network.

thx in advance.

ya. mine starts 24.18 also. i'm wondering if that's not the old @home one tho. how do i know?

edit. oops, mine is 24.23.xx.xx

To find out if you have been tranfered, you have to look at your IP addy. It's its 24.x.xxx.xx or 65.x.xxx.xx your on the @home network. If it's 68.x.xxx.xx then you are on the comcast network.

thx utter. so i'm still and unsuccessful transient here. trying to move over to comcast servers. 🙁

anyone know about the transition?

i'm using netgear rt 314 router.

I am in NJ and moved over on Friday midnight.

My IP address is now 68.xxxxxxxx

I have a Netgear RT314 router also.
I switched the IP from static to dynamic and it worked.

I tried to switch the DNS server to dynamic also as they tell you to, that would not work.
So at the moment I am using a new Dynamic IP address with the old static DNS server.....and its working.
I assume they will pull the old DNS server at some point and I'll be in trouble though.....

PlatinumGold:

Did you change anything else on your router?
How about the System Name and Domain Name settings?

My Domain Name is still set to @HOME......I thought that may be the problem
